This page is dedicated to our founder, Tom Purkis, 1924-1983 , who like many other courageous Canadians volunteered for and fought in our country's armed forces in order to protect essential human rights for his and future generations. Some of these essential rights and freedoms are:

	the right to be put in possession of the truth, to the farthest limit of its availability
	the right to security of the person
	the right to freedom speech
	the right to freedom of assembly
	the right to privacy, "A man's home is his castle."
	the right to expect our leaders to act as shepherds, not as wolves
	the right to clean air, clean water, clean earth
